The importance of storytelling in wedding photography and video
The essence of our approach is to incorporate storytelling into all of our photographic work. It's more than just telling a story, it's also about capturing every precious moment with composition and lighting that highlightsshowcase their unique beauty. The result is a photo or video that tells a unique story with its own emotions and subjects. Each image is an expression of art that captures the essence of the moment.
A wedding is a day filled with emotions. Have you ever walked into a room full of bridesmaids who were uncomfortable and ssilent? Although you cannot see the emotion itself, the emotion influences behavior.
The behavior of these bridesmaids suggests an emotion of anticipation, which is common at a wedding. Our job as storytellers is to read the behavior and interpret it as the right emotion at the exact moment it occurs, and translate it into an image.
In other words, our images should help a viewer who has not witnessed an event to feel the emotions that the subjects display through their behavior, and help the subjects themselves to relive that moment when they look at their pictures.

Watching your wedding movie, you want to relive those little moments. It should make it feel like your wedding day again. This includes ambient sounds, soundtrack, as well as wedding speeches. So many of my films are speech-based. The lyrics literally tell the story in my wedding films.
History
All weddings are unique, so the wedding film should be bespoke too. It's yours. And that's based on your history as a couple. Your marriage story is a huge part of who you are, it brings together all the people you love the most. The narration of any wedding film should be truly personal, inspiring and loving.
Content
The composition, the way you film the wedding day. It is impossible to tell the right story without the right content. A wedding day is completely off script. Nothing I do is directed. You do what you are! It's the only way to create something creative and engaging.
